A Brief History
The Doonhamers Travel club were formed during season 1990/91 season and were originally known as the Emerald Park Doonhamers.
The main aim of the travel club was to run buses or other means of transport to all Queens away matches this is something we have managed to do for every game since the travel club were formed even through some difficult times two occasions that spring to mind were a buzzer bus with nine of us on it going to Cowdenbeath and a midweek game to Berwick with six of us on a forty nine seater bus.
Despite all the difficult times and sometimes controversial incidents including all members of the Emerald Park Doonhamers being banned from Palmerston during the Harkness years.
Now the travel club are the longest established organisation of Queens supporters the club is also recognised as the official Queen of the South supporters club.
Over the years the Doonhamers travel club has gone from strength to strength and although only a few weeks into the season we have well over two hundred members.Despite running subsidised buses for the past few season the travel club have still been able to donate thousands of pounds to Queens over the years this is due to plenty of hard work by the committee and various fundraisers.
