Hello Queens fans!

So... hot on the heels of me getting my own page in ‘Blue & White’ Junior Blue magazine, those crazy supporters have given me a whole web page to play with! The way things are going I might end up with my own tv. and radio shows soon. (Doug of the Pops,  An Audience with Dougie Doonhamer, Changing Kennels)

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but I’ve got a problem. It’s been going on for some time now and my hike round the Guid Nychburris parade finished them off, but my shoes are ‘aboot din’. I went round to that Brantanamo Bay or whatever it’s called out at the Peel Centre but they only had Sketchers (I cannae draw for peanuts). Clarks had Loafers (I hate bread!) and Gates had pink wellies but can you imagine me in pink wellies?  It’s doubly tricky ‘cos I’m a dog size 6, which is 24 in human sizes.

Maybe you Queens fans can come up with some ideas. If so, drop me an email at dougie@queenstrust.org

It’s been a good start to the season. Although we lost to Livingston and St. Johnstone we are already through both rounds of the cups, and now face Kilmarnock and Ayr in the next rounds. I really like the home games.

A chance to come round and see everyone and shake hands with a few ‘weel kent’ faces…and a chance for me to show off some more fancy dance steps. This season I’m pleased to see lots of young Junior Blues all over the East Stand. I hope some of you have written to me to ask for advice or ask a question. You might end up having your letter printed in the next edition of Blue & White AND you might win yourself a prize at the same time.

It’s also great to see the East End ‘possee’ singing their heart out in the corner of the East Stand. This is what we want. SINGING. I love noise at home games. You get the odd fuddy duddy who complains, but we are at Palmy to have FUN with a capital ‘EFF’.  So keep singing you East Standers. Let’s try to lift the woof off! You and that Drummer Boy are just great. Keep up the good work.

The next time you see me we’ll be playing Gretna. I hope Mr Alexander doesn’t wear that outfit he wore at the Cup Final. I thought there was something wrong with the horizontal hold on my tv!! It’s great though that it’s been moved to a Sunday because I just love Roast Chicken!

Ok – I’m off to get some super glue for my shoes. Speak to you soon
