The basic definition of a Trust is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation of supporters, committed to strengthening the voice for supporters in the decision making process at a club, and strengthening the links between the club and the community it serves.
How much is it to join?
We have set membership at just £10 - and free for Under-16s - so that everyone has the chance to join. Membership will then be renewable annually, costing less than the price of a home match ticket.
Why should I join?
The more members we have, the better we are able to represent the interests of all Queen of the South supporters. Your £10 will buy you one share in the Trust, and one voice in the future of Queen of the South FC! If and when the Trust gains boardroom representation, that director will answer to YOU!
Can Under-16s vote?
No, due to legal restrictions, voting rights are only available to those aged 16 or over. Junior members must upgrade to full membership when they reach 16 to be eligible to vote. However, we welcome and encourage all junior fans to join - and membership is free for under-16s.
How do I join?
You can sign up in person at forthcoming home matches or you can download a form..
Are there different categories of membership?
Yes. Junior members, as detailed above, do not have full voting rights until they turn 16 and become Full members. In addition, there are the options of Life Membership and Corporate Membership.
What is the difference between the Trust, the Queens Supporters Club, and other fan organisations?
Queens Trust is the trading name of the Queen of the South Supporters' Society Limited, an industrial and provident society (IPS) registered with the Financial Services Authority. The Queens Trust provides a secure, legal structure to raise further funds and look after those already raised. The Queens Trust is a democratic body, with one vote for every member, irrespective of the amount each has invested. It aims to represent all Queens fans, whether members of supporters clubs or not. As a legal entity, it is able to invest in Queen of the South FC and receive shares in return. The Queens Trust are keen and willing to work hand-in-hand with the Queen of the South Supporters Club,The Queens Travel Club, The New Bazaar supporters group, the Sanquhar Supporters Club, Junior Blues (whom we’re joint running as of this season) and all other bodies interested in the future of Queen of the South FC.
Who runs the Queens Trust?
You, the members! Every member receives one share and one vote, which can be used at the AGM or other meetings to decide Trust policy, elect Trust officials, and ultimately elect a fans' representative to the board of Queen of the South Football Club. The Trust has been established by a Board, encompassing representatives from the all over the local area, volunteers, and some from the original Trust Open Meeting held in Dumfries Academy back in late 2004. Many of this group will be standing for election at the first forthcoming formal AGM .

What happens to the money raised by Queens Trust?
In our first year alone thousands of pounds of Trust raised funds have gone to the club through a variety of channels.
The Trust, has a mandate to act on behalf of the supporters and in return the supporters will have a mechanism through which they can make their views heard. EVERY PENNY raised by the Queens Trust will be used towards securing and improving the future of Queen of the South FC.
Can a Trust make a Difference?
Undoubtedly, yes! Nine Trusts in Scotland already have a fans' representative on the board of directors of their clubs, and in England, several league clubs are 100% owned by their fans. The principle of community involvement and ownership in the running of a football club is becoming more and more popular, and if it can work elsewhere, it can work here - just look at Barcelona!
